What to Wear on your Wedding Night

Your wedding day is a very special time for you and your groom to exchange your vows and start a new life together as man and wife. There is a huge amount to organise for the big day including your bridal lingerie for under your wedding dress. But you may not have considered a small, yet somewhat important detail, of what you would like to wear for the wedding night.

Some couples may be exhausted and crash out when they get back to their room, which is understandable after a long day. But other couples may have other ideas when it comes to their wedding night, and you may find you want to make it just as special as your wedding day. There is no tradition or lucky rule when it comes to what you wear, so if you are unsure where to start, have a little look below at some of the best lingerie and nightwear pieces to make sure your wedding night is one to remember.

Wedding Night Lingerie Inspiration

1. A colourful lingerie set

A new lingerie set could match your special wedding theme colour, or you may decide to go for a beautiful white or ivory lingerie set to carry on the wedding vibe. There are many options available, including bralettes and longline bras with matching briefs, thongs or shorts, depending on your bra size and preference. You can even mix it up with stockings or hold-ups. It's a great time to experiment and try a bra style you wouldn't normally go for. When it comes to your wedding night, nothing is too much.

Also, don't rule out keeping your bridal lingerie on for the wedding night. Most lingerie sets are perfect for transcending from the day time to the evening.

2. Sexy lingerie

Whenever we think of sexy lingerie, we think of black and red lace bras, lacy thongs, suspender belts and stockings. This a great way of experimenting with your lingerie in the bedroom, especially if you don't usually wear lingerie like this. Wearing sexy lingerie can really exude body confidence and your seductive side in the bedroom.

3. Chemise or Playsuit

A beautiful piece of nightwear is a great way to spice things up on your wedding night. Go for a luxury satin or silk lace chemise or playsuit, something you wouldn't normally wear. You don't have to go with a sexy colour like black or red, find the same colour as your wedding theme to really make it special.

4. Basque or Body

You can get some exquisite basques and bodies that really accentuate your shape and make you feel sexy and seductive in the bedroom. I recommend trying on the basque or body before the wedding night, to make sure you know the easiest and quickest way to put it on. The last thing you want is, to be stuck in the bathroom figuring out how to put it on, especially if you have stockings as well.

Your wedding night is the perfect opportunity to experiment with your lingerie or nightwear and try something you wouldn't normally wear. Your wedding day is a very special occasion, so why not make your wedding night just as memorable for you and your partner.
